HTML Basics
HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language) is not a programming language. It is a standard Markup Language used to create HTML Web Pages. As it comprises of a markup language and a hypertext. The function of a markup language is to define structure whereas a Hyperlink is to define website link. Every HTML pages contains elements which are represented by tags. The HTML document is written in the plain text file or editor which is saved with .htm or .html extension.
The HTML file consists of small markup tags, it starts with a start tag and close with an end tag. The whole content of html file enclosed with the start and end tag. You can see the below example, it is a simple HTML document to print the text in a web page.
